Location: Lower abdomen – 12 inches above the navel
Associated organs and glands: Adrenals, reproductive organs, skin, kidneys, lympathic system.
Balanced: passionate, sexually balanced, friendly, good mood
Overactive: manipulative, craving
Underactive: sky, guilty, fear, overly concerned about what other people think
The second chakra or sacral chakra can be associated with the following characteristics:
- emotions and feelings
- relationships
- creativity
- sexuality
Important in developing flexibility in your life and the flow of emotions and thoughts through life. When imbalanced the sacral chakra can result in dependency or co-dependency on external sources/people. It can also result in feeling numb, detached or out of touch with how you feel.
